Hotel Lillan

Muutama viikko sitten olin Tampereella pari päivää juttukeikoilla kuvaamassa koteja

ja yövyin ihastuttavassa Lillan hotellissa lähellä Tampereen ydinkeskustaa.

Couple of weeks ago I visited Tampere for a couple of days photoshooting some homes

and I stayed at this lovely boutique hotel Lillan close to downtown Tampere.

Tämä boutique hotelli on todella viihtyisä ja kaunis.

This boutique hotel is very cozy and beautiful.

Tilava aamupalahuone muuntautuu Lillan lounaskahvilaksi ja näissä tiloissa voi myös

pitää kokouksia ja pieniä juhlatilaisuuksia.

Breakfast area switches to a cozy lunch cafe and you can also have meetings or little

family gatherings in here.

Aamupala oli monipuolinen, maittava ja terveellinen. 

Breakfast was versatile, tasty and healthy.

Söin aamiaista niin varhain, ettei aamupalalla ollut juuri muita samaan aikaan.

Joten minulla oli lähes koko tilat itselläni ;-)

I had breakfast so early there were not many other guests there at the same time. 

So I had almost the whole space to myself ;-)

Hotellin henkilökunta oli erittäin ystävällistä ja auttavaista. 

Hotel staff was very polite and helpful.

Ja tämä aamupala, niin hyvää!!! Varsinkin raakapuuro hedelmillä ja marjoilla, nam!

And this breakfast, so tasty!!! Especially this raw porridge with fruits and berries, yummy!

Sää oli vielä melko viileää muutama viikko takaperin, mutta näillä keleillä on varmasti

ihana ruokailla myös Lillanin sisäpihalla.

Weather was kinda cold couple of weeks ago, but now it would be wonderful to have lunch outside

at Lillan's private yard.

Sitten vielä muutamia kuvia huoneestani. Kylppäri oli aivan ihana!

Oli ihanaa tulla tähän viihtyisään huoneeseen pitkän ja kiireisen päivän päätteeksi!

Voin lämpimästi suositella tätä upeaa boutique hotellia ja kahvilaa kaikille, jotka etsivät

vähän korkeatasoisempaa paikkaa yöpymiseen Tampereella vieraillessaan.

It was wonderful to come and rest in this cozy room after a long and busy day!

I can highly recommend this gorgeous boutique hotel and cafe to anyone needing a

little more special place to stay a night while in Tampere.

Staying at Scandic Oulu

Hi there! I visited Oulu couple of weeks ago on a business trip and had a chance

to stay at Scandic Oulu during my stay.

Hei vaan! Olin pari viikkoa sitten Oulussa työmatkalla ja minulla oli mahdollisuus

yöpyä Scandic Oulussa matkani aikana.

My first impression of the hotel was good.

The reception area was inviting and staff very polite.

Ensivaikutelma hotellista oli heti hyvä. Vastaanottoaula

oli kutsuva ja henkilökunta ystävällistä.

And when I got to my junior suite I was even more pleased with my choice to stay at this hotel.

My suite had a separate living area, bedroom, walk-in closet, balcony and private sauna.

Ja kun pääsin junior suite-huoneeseeni, niin olin vielä iloisempi valitessani kyseisen hotellin.

Huoneessani oli erillinen olohuone, makuuhuone, tilava vaatehuone, parveke ja oma sauna.

I was also happily suprised when I realized that the hotel staff had remembered me with a delicious

welcoming treat. After about 8 hours in a train I was so happy to have this kind of healthy snack ;-)

Olin iloisesti yllättynyt, kun hoksasin, että hotellin henkilökunta oli muistanut minua herkullisella

tervetulaislahjalla. Noin kahdeksan tunnin junamatkan jälkeen olin tosi iloinen saadessani

maistella näin terveellistä herkkupalasta ;-)

I was so tired after the train ride that I just decided to take of my

shoes and take it easy for a little while.

Olin kyllä niin poikki junamatkan jälkeen, että päätin heittää kengät

jalasta ja ottaa hetken ihan rennosti.

I could've easily jumped into that inviting bed already but decided not to take a nap at that time.

Behind the bed you can see the spacious walk-in-closet.

Olisin kyllä voinut helposti jo sukeltaa tuohon kutsuvaan sänkyyn päikkäreille, vaan sitten

päätin hillitä itseni. Sängyn takana aukeaa tuo tilava vaatehuone.

I even had a time to enjoy my private balcony for a little while and go

through some women's magazines.

Kerrankin minulla oli aikaa istahtaa hetkeksi omalle parvekkeelle

ja selailla vähän mukanani tuomia lehtiä.

This was the view from my balcony.

Huoneen parvekkeelta avautui näkymät Oulun kattojen ylle.

There was also a little office nook where I was able to

work and enjoy evening coffee.

Huoneessa oli myös pieni toimistonurkkaus, jossa pystyin tekemään

töitä läppärillä ja nautiskella samalla iltakahvit.

The breakfast area was downstairs in the hotel's restaurant.

Aamupala tarjoiltiin alakerrassa, hotellin ravintolassa.

The breakfast was versatile and I was able to fill my

plate with many healthy choices.

Aamupala oli oikein kattava ja pystyin täyttämään lautaseni

monilla terveellisillä valinnoilla.

And of course you always need some coffee or tea in the morning.

Ja aamulla tarvitsee toki aina kahvia tai teetä.

I was especially pleased to notice the breakfast area had

all sorts of full grain and berry products.

Olin tosi tyytyväinen siitä, että aamupalalla oli paljon

täysjyvätuotteita ja marjaisia juttuja tarjolla.

I always have to have my morning coffee and

fill my plate with colorful food.

Minun on aina pakko saada aamukahvi ja

täyttää lautanen värikkäällä ruoalla.

My most favorite was probably that blueberry smoothie

with some full grain muesli and seeds.

Ihan suosikkijuttu aamupalalla oli tuo mustikkasmoothie

täysjyvä-muslin ja siemenien kera.

And if you have the need to go and exercise

that is also possible in Scandic Oulu.

Ja jos sporttijalkaa alkaa vipattamaan,

on sekin huomioitu hyvin Scandic Oulussa.

I would say that this gym was very well equipped.

Minusta tämä sali oli kyllä tosi hyvin varusteltu.

I wish I would've had time to visit here to exercise but only had time to

stop by here for a little while and take these pic.

Voi kun olisikin ollut aikaa ihan kunnolla käydä salilla, mutta tällä kertaa minulla

oli aamuisin kiirus ja vain hetki aikaa poiketa ottamaan nämä muutamat kuvat.

And one more thing. This hotel is conveniently located right next door to Finnkino Oulu.

So I decided to go to the movies on night and it was so handy to walk only a little walk

from the movies to my hotel late at night.

I can warmly recommend this hotel to all you business and vacation travelers that visit Oulu area.

Hotel is light and neat, rooms are inviting, staff is very polite, gym area is good, 

breakfast is versatile and location is superb.

Ja yksi juttu vielä. Scandic Oulu sijaitsee aivan Finnkinon vieressä. Päätinkin toisena iltana käydä

leffassa ja oli kyllä tosi näppärää kävellä vain tuo pieni matka leffan jälkeen hotellille.

Voin kyllä suositella tätä hotellia kaikille Oulussa työ- tai lomamatkalla kävijöille.

Hotelli on valoista ja siisti, huoneet on kivasti toteutettu, henkilökunta on ystävällistä,

kuntosali on hyvä, aamupala on monipuolinen ja sijainti todella keskeinen.

Hotel Królewski in Gdansk

During our stay in Gdansk we stayed at Hotel Królewski close to the Old town area.

Gdanskin matkallamme yövyimme Królewski hotellissa aivan vanhan kaupungin kupeessa.

Hotel Królewski is a very nice hotel that had an old time feel to it.

Hotel Królewski on tosi kiva hotelli, jossa on vanhan ajan tuntua.

The lobby area is nicely decorated and the staff is very friendly.

Aula-alue on kivasti sisustettu ja henkilökunta on ystävällistä.

We stayed in a room that had a separate bedroom and separate living area.

Meidän huoneessamme oli erillinen makuuhuone ja erillinen oleskelutila.

Our daughter had a test the following week and in the mornings she wanted to read and make notes for the test at our hotel room.

Tyttärellämme oli seuraavalla viikolla kokeet ja hän halusi lukea ja tehdä muistiinpanoja kokeeseen liittyen aina aamuisin hotellihuoneessamme.

We had a very nice view to the old town and to the river from our room.

Meillä oli tosi kauniit näkymät sekä vanhaan kaupunkiin että joelle huoneestamme.

The breakfast was served downstairs in the restaurant.

Aamiainen tarjoiltiin alakerrassa hotellin ravintolassa.

We were very pleased with the breakfast that was served in this hotel.

Olimme oikein tyytyväisiä hotellin aamupalaan.

Our daughter really enjoyed this table on the left full of pancakes, fruits, cakes and Nutella...

Tyttäremme piti erityisesti vasemman kuvan pöydän antimista. Pannukakkuja, lettuja, hedelmiä, kakkua ja Nutellaa...

Me and my husband fell in love with the polish sausage.

Minä ja mieheni taas ihastuimme puolalaiseen makkaraan.

My husband also liked the fact that at the breakfast he was able to get an espresso straight out from the espresso machine.

Mieheni piti myös siitä, että hän sai joka aamu tuoretta espresso suoraan espressokoneesta.

On our last evening in Gdansk we wanted to have a dinner at the hotel's restaurant.

This restaurant could soon be called water restaurant since in the future it will be partly above the water and then you can also get there by boat which is gonna be a great thing!

Viimeisenä Gdanskin iltanamme halusimme syödä illallisen hotellin ravintolassa.

Tämä ravintola muuttuu lähitulevaisuudessa ns. vesiravintolaksi, joka on osittain veden päällä ja jonne pääsee tuolloin myös veneellä, mikä on minusta tosi hienoa!

I think these guys are ready to start the dinner :-)

Minusta näyttää, että nämä tyypit ovat jo valmiina illallisen syöntiin :-)

The restaurant was still pretty quiet when we were at the dinner since it was very early.

Ravintola oli vielä aika hiljainen kun söimme ilallista, sillä päätimme mennä syömään melko ajoissa.

For starters I had a chicken soup and my husband had some very very thinly shaved salmon.

Alkupalaksi minä otin kanakeittoa ja mieheni otti aivan ohuen ohueksi leikattua lohta.

For a little extra we also had some thinly sliced pork tenderloin.

Pikku-extrana saimme myös tosi hyvää, ohueksi leikattua porsaan sisäfilettä.

And for the main course we had duck. It was so good!

Ja pääruoaksi saimme ankkaa. Se oli todella hyvää!

Our daughter enjoyed her spaghetti carbonara.

Tyttäremme nautti omasta spaghetti carbonarastaan.

And for dessert some creme brulee and cappuccinos. What a nice end after an excellent dinner experience.

I can recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Gdansk. The location is great, rooms are spacious and the staff is very polite and helpful.
