Tässä vielä hiukan tunnelmia hiihtolomaviikolta.

Suuntaamme seuraavan kerran mökille pääsiäisviikolla

ja tuskin maltan odottaa pääseväni taas näihin maisemiin.

Sää vaihteli aika tavalla muutaman päivän sisällä.

Nämä olivat yhden aamun hiihtokelit.

The weather changed a lot in a few days.

This is how it looked one morning when we were skiing.

Quite snowy day I would say ;-)

Äitini on aika aktiivinen kuusikymppinen
ja hän suorastaan rakastaa avantouintia.

Hän on tehnyt oman pienen uintiavannon,

ja pulahtaa sinne joka päivä.

 

My mom is still quite active in her 60s
and she just loves to swim in the icy water.

She has made her own little hole in the lake

and takes a little swim there every day.

Tässä näkymää rannalta saunamökille ja taaempana näkyvälle päämökille.

Päämökkiä laajennettiin noin 20 neliöstä 45 neliöön viime vuoden aikana.

The main building was expanded from 20 square meters to 45 square meters last year.

Ice fishing

Olimme tässä yhtenä viikonloppuna mökillä. Pilkillä. Meidän perhe ja isovanhemmat. Meillä oli pienimuotoinen pilkkikilpailu ja taas siinä kävi niin, että nuorin voitti. Sai niin monta pientä sinttiä, ettei meinattu laskuissa pysyä. On se aika epeli - tuo meidän tyttö ;-)

Mukavaa keskiviikkopäivää kaikille!

We were at our lake house the other weekend. Ice fishing. Our family and grandparents. We had this small ice fishing competition and once again so happened that the youngest one won. Got so many small fishes that it was almost difficult to count them. She is just quite something - our little girl ;-)

Mökillä - at the Lake House

Meillä on ollut oikein rentouttava ulkoiluviikonloppu täällä Keski-Suomessa, vanhempieni mökillä. Lämmitimme eilen rantasaunan, paistoimme makkaraa ja ulkoilimme. Koneella en ole käynyt kuin pyörähtämässä ja hyvä niin. Mukava välillä irtautua hetkeksi bloggailusta, niin tärkeä harrastus kuin tämä minulle onkin. Pian lähdemmekin ajelemaan kohti kotia, hiukan harmittaa istua nelisen tuntia autossa, kun ulkona paistaa noin komeasti aurinko. Tuntuu jo ihan keväältä!

We had a relaxing weekend in Middle Finland, at my parent's Lake House. We warmed our sauna, some sausage and spend time outside. I didn't spend any time on my computer and that is good. It is nice to every now and then get from this habit, even though blogging is such and important hobby of mine. Soon we will leave to our hometown, feels a bit boring to be behind the wheel for four hours, when the sun is shining so beautifully. Feels like spring already!

Tytär innostui kovasti pilkkimisestä, joka on ulkomailla kasvaneelle lapselle tosi eksoottista puuhaa. Ja omaksi yllätyksekseen neiti sai useammankin kalan.

Our daughter was so excited about ice fishing, especially being a child grown abroad this was so exotic. And for her own suprise she got more than one fish.


Ja tässä ehkä näitä erilaisia talviulkoilulajeja ajatellen perheeni kajahtanein yksilö. Äitini, 60-vuotias nainen rakastaa avantouintia ja isäni on tehnyt hänelle oman avannon (jonka päällä on todella leveä ovi, kun avanto ei ole käytössä) mökin rantaan.

Äiti kovasti houkutteli minuakin avantoon, vaan ei kyllä pysty kykene. Ikuna!

And this is the crazy person in our family when we think about winter outdoor activities. My mom, a 60 year old woman happens to love winter swimming and my father has made her this hole in the ice (covered with a wide door when not in use) close to our shore.

My mom tried to convince me to hop in the water as well, but I just couldn't can't. Ever!
