At the Lake House

Tässä vielä hiukan tunnelmia hiihtolomaviikolta.

Suuntaamme seuraavan kerran mökille pääsiäisviikolla

ja tuskin maltan odottaa pääseväni taas näihin maisemiin.

We will travel to our lake house next time during Easter week

and I am so waiting for our next trip there and to these sceneries.

Sää vaihteli aika tavalla muutaman päivän sisällä.

Nämä olivat yhden aamun hiihtokelit.

Aika lumista meininkiä, sanoisin ;-)

 

The weather changed a lot in a few days.

This is how it looked one morning when we were skiing.

Quite snowy day I would say ;-)

Äitini on aika aktiivinen kuusikymppinen
ja hän suorastaan rakastaa avantouintia.

Hän on tehnyt oman pienen uintiavannon,

ja pulahtaa sinne joka päivä.

 

My mom is still quite active in her 60s
and she just loves to swim in the icy water.

She has made her own little hole in the lake

and takes a little swim there every day.

Tässä näkymää rannalta saunamökille ja taaempana näkyvälle päämökille.

Päämökkiä laajennettiin noin 20 neliöstä 45 neliöön viime vuoden aikana.

 

Here's a view from the shore to the sauna building and main building.

The main building was expanded from 20 square meters to 45 square meters last year.

Melko pieni, mutta riittävästi tilaa parisängylle.

 

This is the bedroom.

Quite tiny but big enough for queen size bed.

Ulkoilun jälkeen voi vaikka pelailla

vähän mini-pelikorteilla.

 

Mukavaa viikon alkua kaikille!

 

After being outdoors it' relaxing to play

e.g. with mini playing cards.

Hello from Ski Break

 

Pieni tervehdys täältä hiihtoloman keskeltä.

Meillä on ollut tosi kiva viikko.

Ollaan koetettu viettää paljon aikaa ulkona

ja nauttia kauniista talvisäästä.

 

Just a little hi from our ski break.

We have had lot of fun spending time outdoors

and enjoying the gorgeous winter weather.

 

Nautittu kavereiden seurasta,

mäenlaskusta ja eväistä ulkona.

 

Enjoyed the company of friends,

sledding and little snacks outdoors.

At the Lake House

 

We had a small ski break last week and we travelled

to Central Finland to spend time at

this gorgeous lake house.

 

This lake house belongs to my relatives

and it can be rented for private or company use year round.

 

You can find more about this place and another

Meillä oli pieni hiihtoloma viime viikolla ja

menimme Keski-Suomeen mökkeilemään tänne kauniille

huvilalle.

 

Huvila kuuluu sukulaisilleni ja

mökki on vuokrattavissa vuoden ympäri
sekä yksityisille että yrityksille.

This lake house is called Peltopirtti and it's located

close to Jyväskylä by the Leppävesi lake.

 

There is still good amount of snow in Central Finland

and we had both sunshine and snowy days during our stay there.

Tämä huvila on nimeltään Peltopirtti ja se sijaitsee

lähellä Jyväskylää Leppävesi-järven rannalla.

 

Keski-Suomessa on vielä hyvin lunta ja meillä

oli viikonlopun aikana sekä aurinkoa että lumisadetta.

Outside by the lake is this combined building that has an

outdoor sauna and also a barbecue hut. 

 

Ulkona järven äärellä on tämä yhdistelmärakennus,

joista toisessa rakennuksessa on sauna ja toisessa grillikota.

 

We spent the weekend at the lake house with our friends

and they also had they dog Jesse with them.

 

Jesse enjoyed the nice winter weather.

Vietimme viikonlopun mökillä ystäviemme seurassa

ja heillä oli mukanaan myös koiransa Jesse.

 

Jesse nautti kyllä kovasti hyvästä talvisäästä.

 

The sun was shining and the temperature was around -6 degrees celsius.

 

Aurinko paistoi ja lämpötila oli jossain -6 asteen kieppeillä.

We had sauna on both evenings and here both saunas 

(indoor and outdoor) are heated with wood.

 

Me saunoimme molempina iltoina ja täällä molemmat saunat 

(sisä- ja ulkosauna) lämpenevät puulla.

We also had some snow during our stay.

 

Luntakin kyllä sateli välillä aika paljon.

Here Nea is sledding with her godfather's and Jesse's assistance. 

Jesse also pulled the sled up the hill after each slide down the hill.

 

Tässä Nea pulkkailee kummisetänsä ja Jesse-koiran avustuksella.

Jesse myös veti pulkan aina ylös jokaisen laskun jälkeen.

Then we headed to the barbecue hut.

 

Sitten suuntasimme kohti kotaa.

This barbecue hut is actually pretty big and

has enough space for over 15 people.

 

 Jesse wanted to relax a little bit.

 

Tämä grillikota on itse asiassa aika suuri

ja siellä voi olla yli 15 henkilöä yhtä aikaa.

 

Jesse otti rennosti.

 

We grilled some sausage links and 

chatted by the fire :-)

 

Me grillasimme vähän makkaraa ja vietimme

aikaa tulen äärellä rupatellen :-)

 

Later in the evening we played board games and

started to prepare our dinner.

 

Myöhemmin illalla pelasimme Afrikan tähteä ja

aloimme valmistamaan illallista.

For dinner we had some open flame salmon.

Boys made the base for the fish from wood as well as

those wooden nails or what could you call them.

 

And boy that salmon was so good!

 

Illalliseksi meillä oli loimulohta.

Miehet tekivät itse kalalle alustan puusta,

samoin kuin nuo puunaulat vai miksi noita nyt voisi kutsua.

 

Ja voi mahdoton kun tuo kala oli hyvää!

 

Lazy mornings and have to say that we slept well upstairs.

 

Laiskoja aamuja ja yläkerran sängyissä uni kyllä maistui.

There's enough room to accomodate around 10-12 people pstairs.

 

Mökin yläkerrasta majoitustilaa noin 10-12 henkilölle.

And downstairs is this cozy living area.

 

Ja alakerrassa on viihtyisä olohuone.

 

There's also one separate bedroom for two and a

nice kitchen downstairs.

 

Alakerrassa on vielä erillinen makuuhuone kahdelle

sekä viihtyisä ja valoisa keittiö.

It was Valentine's Day during our stay and we celebrated it

with some Valentine themed chocolate and some sparkling juice.

 

Mökkiviikonlopun aikana oli myös ystävänpäivä ja juhlistimme

ystävänpäivää teeman mukaisilla suklailla ja kuohuvalla mehulla.

Breakfast included also some salad, sandwiches,

beans, eggs and bacon.

 

Aamupalaamme kuului myös salaattia, voileipiä,

papuja, munia ja pekonia.

Peltopirtti is very cozy and spacious lake house that

I can recommend to families, companies and

also for bigger groups sinc

 there's enough space for at least 10 people.

On a ski break

We have been on a ski break in Middle Finland this week but no skiing so far. Even though there is not that much snow around here either we have enjoyed spending time outdoors and on our lake house. Our daughter likes ice fishing and has spent hours with her dad and grandpa on the lake.

Olemme olleet tämän viikon hiihtolomalla Keski-Suomessa, mutta hiihtämiset ovat jääneet vielä nollaan. Vaikka lunta ei ole kovin hirmuisesti täälläkään, olemme nauttineet kyllä ulkoilusta ja mökkeilystä. Tyttäremme tykkää pilkkimisestä ja on viettänyt tunteja isänsä ja isosisänsä kanssa järvellä.

And after a long day at the lake house it is nice to have a cup of hot cocoa. More about ski break at my Kotiliesi blog.
