Viikonlopulta - From the weekend

Lauantaina ajelimme Lauttasaareen ystäväperheen luokse. Siellä saimme herkutella mm. näitä kuvan hämähäkki-muffinseja ja perhe oli muutenkin koristanut kotia hiukan Halloween-teeman mukaisesti. Oli oikein kiva ilta, vaikkakin aika kului taasen kerran aivan liian nopeaan. Kuten aina mukavassa seurassa ;-)

On Saturday we went to Lauttasaari Helsinki to visit our friends. There we were able to taste e.g. these spider muffins and the family had also decorated their apartment with Halloween theme. We had a nice evening even though once again the time flew way too fast. As always when you're in good company ;-)


Tänä aamuna lähdimme happihyppelylle Lauttasaaren rantamaisemiin. Ei kyllä aina uskoisi näitä hiljaisia polkuja kulkiessa, että olemme aivan Helsingin keskustan läheisyydessä.

This morning we went for a walk to the Lauttasaari area. At times it's hard to believe how close you are to the Helsinki downtown area when you walk on these quiet pathways.






Tuuli oli navakka ja pipo ja hansikkaat olivat jo kovasti tarpeen. Brrrh, taitaa se talvi olla jo tulossa kovaa vauhtia.

The wind was harsh and hats and mittens were very much in use. Brrrh, I guess that winter is coming with speed to us.

Niin kylmää, silti kaunista - So cold, yet so pretty

Viikonloppua vietimme Keski-Suomessa hiukan sukuloiden ja kavereita tapaillen. Ja huh heijaa, että oli kylmää! Mittari oli koko viikonlopun -20 asteen kieppeillä. Ulos ei juuri uskaltauduttu pikkuneidin kanssa, mutta pieneksi aikaa kipaisin yksikseni kuitenkin valokuvaamaan. Ja varpaani olivat jäässä jo parin minuutin kävelemisen jälkeen.

We spend our weekend in Middle Finland seeing relatives and some friends. And oh my, how cold it was! The thermometer was at around -2 fahrenheit during the whole weekend. We didn't really want to go outside with my daughter, but I just ran outside for a little while to take couple of photos. And my toes were actually freezing after only a couple of minutes walking.

Kuin sinivuorten yöstä, niin sininen oli tuo hyisevän kylmän iltapäivän lumimaisema.

Like from a children's christmas song, singing about blue mountains. So blue was the freezing cold afternoon snow landscape.

Tähän hyisenoloiseen postilaatikkoon voi käydä laittamassa nimensä sekä kävelemänsä kilometrit ja joka kuukausi joku onnekas liikunnanharrastaja voittaa pienen palkinnon. Vaan eipä ollut nimi- tai kilometrimerkintöjä parilta päivältä... Ylläri!

Inside this freezing looking mailbox you can put your name and miles when you have been on a walk and then one lucky exercising person will be winning a little something every month. For some reason there were no names or markings for a couple of days... So suprising!

Niin se vaan aika kiitää ja Joulublogikin on tämän vuoden osalta päätöksessä. Kymmenen viikkoa hujahti joulubloggailun parissa hurjaa vauhtia ja oli kyllä oikein mukavaa saada kertoa meidän joulun odotuksestamme sekä jakaa myös muutamia ideoita kaikille lukijoille. Toivottavasti myös sinä sait joulublogistani jotain. Ja kommentteja luen mieluusti edelleenkin!

So the time flies and my Christmas Blog already reached its end this year. Ten weeks went so fast blogging and it was so nice to share my thoughts and all the things about our Christmas plans and also to share some ideas with all the readers. I hope you got something out of it also. And please, you can still go and leave a comment!

Sumua - Fog

Heräsimme tänä aamuna sankkaan sumuun. Ja pitihän sitä mennä sitten heti kuvaamaan. Läheiselle lammelle.

We woke up this morning to a very heavy fog. And of course I had to go take some pictures. To this little pond close to us.

Oli niin kaunista ja hiljaista...
