We went to art exhibition with our school today. In Salo Veturitalli they have this Samuli Heimonen exhibit, where his paintings from 2011 are on display. He has used acrylics and oil in these paintings and his subject is mainly animals.
Olin aivan mykistynyt. Se on ihan mieletön fiilis, kun joskus taidenäyttelyssä huomaa töiden puhuttelevan aivan omalla tavallaan. Kuinka teosten tunnelma, värit, hahmot, siveltimen vedot, valot, varjot, valumat ja tekstuurit voivat sykähdyttää. Olisin voinut jäädä istumaan näyttelysalien tuoleille tuntitolkuiksi ihastelemaan ja tuijottelemaan useita hänen teoksistaan.
Oikeanpuoleinen työ Kippo oli yksi suosikeistani.
I was totally blown away. It is such a great feeling when sometimes at art exhibitions you find out that these works talk to you on their own special way. How the mood, all the colors, figures, lights, shadows, brush strokes, run-offs and textures can thrill you. I could've stayed there and just sit at those hall chairs for hours admiring and looking at many many of his art pieces.
The art work on the right called Cup was one of my favorites.
Jos liikut Salon suunnalla, niin suosittelen tätä näyttelyä kaikille taiteen ystäville!
I will go and see this show again with my family. Samuli's work touched me and took me to almost dreamlike, at times scary worlds, where partly serene and partly furious dogs, rabbits, birds, bears and lions were having an adventure.
If you visiting Salo area, I recommend this exhibit to all you who like art!
