Itse olen puolesta ja omat Mariskoolini ovat kulkeutuneet mukanani meren taakse. Ja kesällä Suomessa lomaillessani niitä katselen ja uusia värejä haikailen.
Se ihana vaaleanpunainen, vaalea lila tai lime. Ne olisi vielä kiva saada omaan mariskooli-kokoelmaan. Kun vain hannoisi niitä ostaa... ;-)
Näissähän voi pitää esillä vaikka mitä. Juhlapöydässä on kiva laittaa esille vaikka karamelleja, keksejä, pähkinöitä, rusinoita ja kaikkea pientä naposteltavaa. Tai sitten näitä voi pitää ihan koristeellisessakin tarkoituksessa sellaisenaankin, tai laittaa sisälle vaikka pienen kynttilän, näin iltojen pimetessä...
Mariskoolini tuovat mieleeni Suomen ja minä kyllä suomalaisena jaksan aina ihailla maamme korkealaatuista, ajatonta sekä kaunista muotoilua ja kaikkia kauniita klassikkoja, joita varmasti monen meidän kodista löytyy... ;-)

Maribowls (by Iittala, check http://www.iittala.com/) are something that you either like or don't like. I'm one of those, who like!
I have brought my Maribowls with me all the way from Finland and every summer we visit Finland, I admire them at the local stores and find myself dreaming about adding some new ones into my collection: the light pink, light purple and the light lime one would be all so delicious ones to have. If I just had so much extra money in my pocket. Yes, these are quite expensive, as all the designer stuff is in Europe.
But they are so beautiful and practical too. I feel they have so many purposes. These serve very nicely as decorational serving units, which can hold candy, peanuts, raisins, cookies and trail mix etc. Or these can be used as just decorational items too and I myself have my little candles inside them during the fall season, when the evenings get dark early and when it's nice to have candles everywhere.
For me these bowls are very important and they remind me of Finland and the fact that we have some beautiful design classics that we Finns should all be proud of!
