Finally the weather is getting warmer and more sunny
days on the horizon.

Being a summer and a flower person I already bought some hydrangeas
even though some nights may still be cold and I have to drag
those pots inside every other night.

Koska olen ihan täysin kesäimmeinen sekä kesäkukkien ystävä myöskin,
ostin jo etuterassille terassihortensioita, vaikka jotkut yöt
ovatkin vielä kylmiä ja saan raahata noita ruukkuja
sisälle kylmempinä iltoina.

Hydrangea is one of my favorite summer flowers. I buy them every
spring to our front porch and plant them to those blue pots.
And every summer they grow so well and the colors change
beautifully during the summer.
Hortensia on yksi kesäkukkasuosikeistani. Joka kesä hankin niitä
tähän etuterassille ruukkuihin ja joka kesä ne kiitollisina
kasvavat kokoa ja muuttuvat väriltään kesän mittaan
yhä kauniimmiksi.
I also like surfinias and this color matched nice with
my pink hydrangeas.

I will have a photoshoot tomorrow at Tampere where I photograph
one beautiful home. But then in the evening I head back home
and will take it easy the rest of the weekend since next week I
will be travelling to Western Finland to photograph some

Mukavaa viikonloppua kaikille. Minä suuntaan huomenna kuvaamaan
kaunista kotia Tampereelle, mutta sitten illalla jo viikonlopun
viettoon ja sunnuntaina otan kyllä ihan lungisti, sillä ensi
viikon juoksen tukkaputkella juttukeikoilla rannikkoseudulla.

We have a fairly large pink hydrangea in a pot on our patio, plus an even larger blue lace-cap hydrangea out there. Both have wintered there and how have large blossoms forming on them. I love how cheerful they look.
Your front porch looks warm and inviting.

Hi Linda. When we used to live in Texas we also had some pink hydrangeas growing in ou backyard and they were huge!
Now here in Finland the summer comes much later and all the hydrangeas growing in our flower beds blossom in late July or August.
This is why I also buy those terrace hydrangeas for the porch and then when the winter comes I take them to our cellar in those pots and the following spring plant them to our garden. And then I wait and wait for them to blossom... :-)
